Are you feeling overwhelmed? Do you struggle with self-esteem? I offer a space to safely explore and get to know and understand yourself better.

Counselling can help you process emotions, manage life transitions and overcome challenges. It gives you awareness, clarity and a voice when you feel lost.

As a BACP-registered, integrative counsellor, I’m trained in a number of therapy styles, which I blend into my practice, depending on what is right for you.

The therapeutic relationship is the foundation of our work together. Humans are social, we are ‘wired to connect’ and counselling offers an opportunity to connectwith yourself and explore how you are in relationship. I work collaboratively with you so that you can be empowered to respond to your needs and ‘feel’ change, not just ‘think’ it.

I’m currently training to become a Senior Practitioner in Coaching (EMCC accredited) so can also offer Coaching to clients, either integrated into our work or as stand alone sessions.

Psychotherapy is a bit like building an extension on our home. Our home, is ourselves. Wherever we go in the world, we take ourselves with us. We are our vehicle to life. Would you like to navigate the rollercoaster of life, in a home that is built the way you have chosen; that is solid and stable and where there are no limits, to its growth?

The good news about building your extension, is that you don’t have to do the work alone. Introducing…me! I’m Jade. I love being a therapist. I will be steadfastly alongside you, as you explore yourself and your reasons for arriving into therapy. Through working with me, it is possible to live your life with more ease, comfort and choice.

I’m currently in Advanced Training; which is accredited by the UKCP. UKCP are the leading organisation for Psychotherapists in the UK. This means I adhere to their high ethical standards, and I undergo their high standards of training and practice. I’m also a University Lecturer, teaching on Undergraduate Psychology and Counselling courses.

  • Katie Robertson

I am a registered member of the BACP and have a Masters Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy.  My background is in Perinatal Mental Health, bereavement, and domestic abuse and I have over 20 years of experience working within the Early Years.

I understand that reaching out and going to therapy can often be a big and daunting step. Therefore, creating a trusting relationship that gives you the support and safety you need is central to the way I work. My approach is warm, compassionate, and supportive of your individual needs, helping you to feel seen, heard, and understood.

I have a passion for supporting new mums on their journey into parenthood and recognise what an incredibly challenging time it can be; we can often feel judgement, lonely and have expectations of ourselves and from society that pregnancy and motherhood should feel a certain way. We can have many questions – Why is being a new parent not what I expected? Why haven’t I bonded with my baby? Why do I feel so sad? Does my baby like me? Why does my baby cry all the time? Am I doing it right?

I can work with you to explore both conscious and unconscious factors within your relationship with your baby. Often these factors are influenced by our own experience of our own childhood and how we were parented.

If you would like more information, have any questions or would like to book a free 15-minute consultation, please visit my website katierobertsontherapy.co.uk

    She/ her

I am a BACP registered integrative psychotherapist, counsellor, and supervisor. I offer curiosity, non-judgemental exploration and gentle challenge, to support my clients to gain a deeper understanding of their lives and how they relate to others.

I have particular experience working with attachment - related issues, trauma, neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, social marginalisation, perinatal, and family-related issues. I have worked extensively with survivors of domestic abuse, coercive control, and narcissistic abuse.

My approach is client-centered, relational, and integrative, drawing from psychodynamic, humanistic, and somatic modalities. I believe that my clients are the experts in their own lives and have the capacity to fulfil their own potential if given a space where they feel heard and accepted.

As a supervisor, I work with both trainees and experienced therapists, using an integrative and process-oriented model with a focus on the psychodynamic, relational, and attachment focused approach. I perceive the supervisory space to be an opportunity for collaboration, creativity and containment. A space to share ideas, hopes, concerns, safeguarding issues or stuckness within your practice. To think together about how supervisees can be empowered to notice and embrace the multiplicity of the options available.

I welcome clients and supervisees from all backgrounds, genders, sexual orientations and nationalities.

Sometimes life is hard. I recognise that we are all unique and your reasons for seeking therapy will be as individual as you. As an Integrative Counsellor, I can help you to; implement changes, process trauma safely, increase self-worth, manage symptoms of anxiety and/or depression, look at how past experiences and/or relationships may be impacting you in the present and much more, in ways that resonate with you. I believe that we are all unique and so should be our approach to therapy.

I am a trauma informed therapist and my training includes; CBT, Humanistic and Psychodynamic approaches to therapy. Whilst these theories and techniques are important and enhance me professionally, it is the therapeutic relationship which you and I build that will become central to the therapy, which is why it is so important to find a therapist you feel you can build a safe, trusting relationship with.
